AiNET Announces First Data Center Colocation Customer Using Its Innovative MicroMetering Solution

DataLink Interactive attracted to power pricing aligned with its business growth.

Beltsville, MD, July 11, 2012 – AiNET, a 19 year-old critical IT solutions company, announced today that DataLink Interactive, Inc., an IT solutions firm based in Millersville, MD, is its first data center colocation customer to take advantage of the AiNET MicroMetering service recently announced. AiNET, which is developing CyberNAP™, the region’s largest data center, offers MicroMetering at its data centers as a way to help customers find cost effective solutions to power usage.

AiNET’s MicroMetering offers data center colocation customers cost-savings on power of up to 70% because it charges them for the power they actually use, rather than what they could use. With MicroMetering, companies can increase their power usage as they grow, far more affordably over time.

“AiNET’s MicroMetering is a perfect fit for us,” said Mylon Staton, president, DataLink Interactive. “As part of our private cloud initiative, we looked at several data centers and none of them could match the redundancy, price point and overall fit with our needs that MicroMetering offered.”

MicroMetering continues a series of customer-focused innovations by AiNET in the data center industry. “AiNET saw how power was being delivered and charged to colocation customers, and ultimately charging the high price wasn’t serving anyone,” said AiNET president Deepak Jain. “We developed MicroMetering to address the problem and the response has been nothing short of amazing.”

With a new patent on critical power protection, extensive cloud services, the development of CyberNAP, and MicroMetering all occurring within the past year, AiNET’s innovations have not gone unnoticed by Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED). “Maryland’s data center sector provides a critical foundation for our technology-related industries,” said Ursula Powidzki, DBED’s Assistant Secretary for Business and Enterprise Development. “We welcome AiNET’s innovations in enhancing the services and support offered to companies in these areas.”

MicroMetering is available in all AiNET data centers and will be available in the Washington, DC region’s largest data center, AiNET CyberNAP, when it opens for colocation customers this quarter.
