SAVVIS AND COGNIZANT PARTNER TO PROVIDE CLOUD SERVICES

A recent official report by the officials of Savvis has confirmed that Savvis would be providing Cognizant with data center services from its facilities in Washington and London. Cognizant is a consultancy and business outsourcing services company.

Cognizant will combine Savvis’ services with infrastructure management, application, consulting and business processes. This will include a private version of Savvis Symphony Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC), an enterprise-class cloud computing solution.

Cognizant’s private-label cloud and data center services will be delivered from Savvis’ facilities in Washington, D.C., and London, England.

Cognizant an IT outsourcer has planned to expand its North American and European data center footprint to support its enterprise enabled cloud services. The company plans to invest $25 million into this project which consists of data centers at Arizona, Virginia, Amsterdam, and U.K. This facility is going to be powered by Cognizant’s proprietary cloud management solution Cloud 360.

“With our expanded cloud capabilities across our network of data centers, we can greatly enhance our ability to fulfill this growing client need,” said Robert Boles, Senior VP of Cognizant’s IT infrastructure services.
