1547 Realty Partners is a new addition to the growing data center market in the city of New York. 1547 Realty Partners recently announced that it has purchased a new property just outside the city of New York, in Orangeburg. 1547 Realt Partners is partnering with Deerns America, for its mechanical and electrical engineering services. Initially the data center will operate on a decent 24 megawatt of power, a future substation will be established which can boost capacity up to 50 megawatt.
The facility will have a total of 105,400 square feet of raised floor, with 41,590 square feet of operational space. The first phase of construction is expected to be complete in fourth quarter 2013.
1547 Realty Partners’ new data center is located on a massive 34 acre plot in 1Ramland facility. This facility is close to the major highways, with Manhattan just 25 miles away. It is in close proximity to Connecticut, and key New Jersey facilities. The company was happy to announce that the facility is suitable for latency sensitive applications, business continuity, and disaster recovery facility purposes. The facility has ample space for expansion in the future. It is a low disaster risk facility. It also contains abundance of fiber providers, diverse routes, and well planned connectivity to the main New York interconnection hubs. 1 Ramland will also include 12980 sq ft of office space.
Deerns America was selected as a partner for all the engineering services because of its expertise in green data designing concepts. Deerns promises to enrich the Realty Partners data center with facilities like effective cooling systems, economizers, and other innovative cooling technologies. Deerns assures that the facility will operate on less than 1.2 Power Usage Effectiveness compared to other providers who can assure only less than 1.5.
