Data Specialties Inc., an Orange County, Calif.-based data center design-build firm, has opened
an office in St. Louis.
The company has two offices in California and one in Phoenix, Ariz., and was looking to expand
into the Midwest.
“With a home base that can serve and focus on the central part of the United States, we will be
on track towards our projected growth of doubling the size of our market share and creating a
truly national footprint over the next two years,” said Steve Borley, vice president of sales and
marketing for Data Specialties, in a statement.
Data Specialties hired Jon Jonz as regional manager for the St. Louis office. Jonz was an
independent data center consultant before joining the company.
Mike Balles will be the technical manager for the St. Louis office. Balles has 28 years of
experience in the data center industry and served as vice president of design for the Bick
Group, a St. Louis-based data center company.
