Symposium to feature Modular Data Centers inside the Santa Clara Convention Center; Free Tours Available

New York, NY (May 2, 2012) – Uptime Institute, a division of The 451 Group, will feature a large-scale, first of its kind Modular Data Center Campus at its 2012 Uptime Institute Symposium, which will be held May 14-17th at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. The campus, which will feature actual modular data centers from Digital Realty, IO.Anywhere, Schneider Electric and Active Power, will be available for touring on a complementary basis inside the Convention Center, giving attendees the opportunity to walk through actual units, make side-by-side comparisons and engage in active discussions about this growing trend in the data center industry. Limited complementary passes are available for the Modular Data Center Campus and Expo on a first come, first serve basis by registering here.

“The data center industry is constantly evolving, and like many other sectors, owners and operators are looking for ways to cut costs, save space and increase efficiencies,” said Symposium 2012 Program Director Matt Stansberry. “Data centers are being created to be more economically and energy efficient, while being located virtually anywhere, including building rooftops. Our Data Center Campus will be a great opportunity for those interested in deploying a modular data center to take an up close and personal look at the leading models and hear from the best in the business.”

The Modular Campus and Exhibition Hall will be open on May 14th and 15th and is available to Symposium Delegates and holders of Free Modular Data Center Campus & Expo passes. Free Modular Data Center Campus & Expo passes also provide access to Symposium content on May 14th including keynote presentations from eBay, as well as presentations from companies such as Greenpeace and HP; an evening networking reception; and Green Enterprise IT Awards Presentation Ceremonies.
