Glide1 to be Announced Shortly

Glide OS, a popular Web OS, is planning to announce their new application Glide1 during the Intersection Event. Glide1 can be installed on your desktop, smartphone and tablet and will make use of the cloud to support its cross-platform efficiency characteristic.

It provides instant access to files and allows editing and sharing of the same from any device from any location. It provides automated cross-device and cross-platform cloud service integration. It comes with a security feature with granular permissions based sharing and tracking. One can also administer and govern the file and application transfer between platforms. Glide1 is positioned between proprietary devices and disconnected cloud services which has the potential to drastically improve the cloud computing technology.

“There is a clear need for an application that manages all of a user’s files that are scattered across various proprietary devices and disconnected cloud services – and Glide1 will do just that,” said TransMedia Chairman & CEO, Donald Leka. “We believe Glide1 is revolutionary because it will provide a single point of access to all user files and information and seamless collaboration between users of incompatible devices and platforms.”

Glide1 will act as an application that will access all user files stored on the computers, smartphone or tablets irrespective of the platform of the device. All files will be consolidated on Glide1’s servers without really having to store a single file on the server. This will promote increased file sharing and publishing functionality.
