Quality Technology Services Data Center Gets LEED Gold Certification

                QTS announced it has achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) Gold certificate for its Virginia data center. LEED is an internationally recognized green building certification program. According to LEED Certification review, QTS Richmond, Virginia data center has achieved high scores for optimized energy consumption, water efficiency and suitable site selection. QTS recently added a sustainability and recovery team which is dedicated to practices Green data center strategies such as strategic sourcing, energy efficiency, resource management and recycling methods.  Since 2011 QTS has recycled more than 6 million pounds of materials from its data centers. Recycled materials include plastic, aluminum, steel, concrete and copper. QTS Richmond data center is one of the world’s largest and most secured data centers.
