ETISALAT TO SET UP A NEW DATA CENTER AT JEBEL ALI
Etisalat has announced its new venture which is a state of the art data center at Jebel Ali. It has already signed an agreement with the Al Hilal bank to host all its disaster recovery functions at the facility.
With the signing of the agreement between Etisalat and Al Hilal bank, Etisalat has once again proved its mettle in the information and communication technology in the region. Its strategies and capabilities have significantly increased with the establishment of the new data center at Jebel Ali. This data center is cited to be the biggest of its type in the whole of Middle East.
Mr. Abdulla Ebrahim Al Ahmed, Senior Vice President, Business Solutions at Etisalat, said that the company’s partnership with the Al Hilal bank shows the extent of trust that the bigger companies have on the credibility of Etisalt. They vow to trust Etisalat with all their ICT services.
“Al Hilal Bank is one of the fastest emerging banks in the UAE. We are delighted to have them as the launch customer for our brand new data centre,” said Mr. Al Ahmed.
“ICT is a major growth area for Etisalat which is demonstrated by our commitment to this new facility in
Jebel Ali. Our technical expertise in this field is world-class, and, with the new state-of-the-art data centre, we are confirming our market-leading position as a full ICT provider for the business sector,” added Mr. Al Ahmed.
Al Ahmed also mentioned that the size of the Jebel Ali data center is so that there will be other companies of the UAE joining the Etisalat data center to facilitate important business solutions.
