DIGITAL REALTY LAUNCHES A NEW LONDON DATA CENTER

Digital Realty Trust Inc.,, a global provider of data center solutions announced the opening of two new facilities at the firm’s Digital Chessington Data Center in South West London. Two 1440 KW Turn Key Flex hall have been made available for lease; three other facilities would be available soon increasing the center’s power capacity to about 7200 KW. Digital Realty proposes to offer three tier 3 data center facilities in the London area, with strong communication links to the city center via a wide range of carrier options. A dedicated, on site,18 MVA electric power substation provides high capacity and robust power supplies to the development. The Digital Realty data center showcases some very energy efficient designs, enabling some effective Power Utilization Efficiency ratings. It also caters to a diverse range of customer data center operations. The air conditioning system at the facility has been designed to support both enclosed hot and cold aisle configurations; takes in outside air free cooling to increase power utilization efficiency.
