Dell to Launch New PowerEdge Servers

Dell is planning to launch its new generation PowerEdge servers early next year that will feature large memory footprints, improved I/O bandwidth and “Tier-Zero Storage” which uses flash memory in the server. They will use the Xeon E5 chips which will have eight cores and two or four socket systems. They will also provide 40 TB of DRAM and the same amount of flash storage that should be capable of any database or analytic workloads.
