Tieto Investing $13.7 Million to Double the Capacity of Its Data Center in Espoo

constructing this facility in January 2010 and completed the project at the end of 2010.Tieto planned the maximum capacity of this facility is
19, 680 Sq. Ft, with this investment capacity of this facility will be doubled. This expansion plan will enable Tieto to shut down its outdated facilities.
Vice President at Tieto Cloud Server Mikko Pulkkinen said, “We will continue to invest in sustainable technology. Demand for cloud services continues to grow and, as we have launched a new Tieto Cloud Server, we will need more space in our data centers. Our goal is to replace inefficient technology with an energy-efficient IT capacity service. Investing in the new data center also ensures the quality of our capacity services
This facility will distribute the heat generated within the plant to homes in Espoo through a district heating network. This plan will effectively replace fossil fuel based heat production.
