Hey Guys,
I am new to the forum here. I have a small amount of experience with colocation and servers and I am doing all I can to learn more. I work at a data center located in Philadelphia. I won't say anymore because this IS NOT a solicitation or advertisement. I just wanted to introduce myself and tell everyone what I do. I really work more in sales but it's key for me to understand the technology side of things so I can close deals with more ease. If anyone has any tips or links to good articles that really describe things such as: why businesses colocate servers, what these servers can be used for, which businesses are most likely to need colocation, and and general information on servers and their options (RAM, hard drive memory, info on RAID, firewalls and netbackup) I would really appreciate it! Looking forward to being a valuable part of this forum!
