Default Staff on-site 24/7

Do you think data centers should have staff on-site 24 hours per day? I know that there are some companies that use monitoring systems and have people on call during certain hours rather than having people on-site around the clock.

I think it is helpful to have people on site. The exception would be if you have some of your technicians that live very nearby and that can be there quickly if a problem arises at the facility.

Yes, I could see that some companies might use monitor equipment during some of the time. They could still be pretty effective at responding quickly if they had people on call and those people did live near the data center. I still think ideally though you would have someone their around the clock.
