I have never heard of them but I would be interested to find out what they are like. If it wasn't for the fact their in a different country I would probably ask to pay them a visit, I do get the impression from that photo thought that they are small for d/c standards.

96K square feet may be small by some standards, but that is really not small - approximately 1.5 football fields. The entire building is about 200,000 square feet.

365 Main was built by MCI at the height of the dot-com boom in the Bay Area. It has since been taken over by a realty management company.

All I have read is it's a top-shelf facility.

I have a rack at 365Main, and I must admit the data center is clearly a state of the art, with high
security and location at a very convenient space right over by the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. How ever I must admit it does have a few flaws.

1. Security cameras do not cover the entire colocation area, only point at the doors, but not the racks or cages.
2. The wiring used to look good, now its a mess.
3. They used to be super cheap when they first started, now that they cover their expanses the prices went up quite a bit. The bandwidth cost is still reasonable, but they charge you an arm and a leg for power.
4. The power outage due to a faulty sprinkler valve which happened in mid April of 2005 which took down the entire colocation area did not help their reputation.

Other then that I can't complain much.

This is place was designed and built by AboveNet. It follows the same architecture used in AboveNet facilities in San Jose, Reston VA and Los Angeles. Get them to take you down to the basement to show you how the building was jacked up and placed on an isolated base for seismic protection. One of the coolest buildings in San Francisco in this regards.
