Our company is moving from pysical server to virtualization servers. We found that there are memory problem when we launch java application. Do you think moving to virtualization is good? We use solaris and redhat.

Use Xen based virtualization since it would give you dedicated RAM resources to your VPS. Also, make sure that you have enough RAM to run the Java based programs as they consume much memory resources.
As I'm sure you know Java applications have more memory overhead due to them being ran in the Java virtual machine themselves.

We run our java applications on REDHAT boxes and all of them are running from VMware ESX server, we don't have memory issue. Also, you can easily upgrade it, if you want more RAM.
