PROJECT REQUIREMENTS



Expected Outcomes:



The consultant will be the main liaison between the CLIENT.ca business unit and the IT technical staff and their main priority is to translate the existing demands for new project and maintenance initiatives within the CLIENT.ca business into concrete detailed plans including resourcing plans. They will also be key in ensuring that all components of the CLIENT.ca support team within IT are on the same page for the delivery of the approved projects and maintenance requests.



Project Description:



Under the direction of the Director, IT Operations and Directors of Media product support, the project manager will be responsible for the planning, organization, direction and control of projects within the CLIENT.ca environment. The candidate will have to produce on demands and on a regular basis, project documentation, notably timeline, resource estimates, Gantt charts, project plans, advancement status, forecast, etc. The members of the team are situated in Toronto.

Service Requirements – Qualifications:


Ø Project Manager in the implementation of infrastructure projects. Considerable experience in the delivery of web 2.0 based applications.

Ø Specific experience with the following technologies and systems: Interwoven, PHP, Apache, Java, content delivery networks.

Ø Experience with mixed server environment (Unix, Windows and Intel Linux).

Ø Experience in implementing different disk and tape storage technologies.

Ø Experience in managing external service provider relationships.

Ø Experience in SDLC best practices and specifically release management.

Ø Experience in managing in a matrix environment.

Ø Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Ø Excellent team building expertise and getting staff to deliver on a set plan and priorities.

Ø PMP Certification is desirable.

Location of work:



CLIENT will provide a working space in Toronto. The candidate must work on a full-time basis (5 days/week) in Toronto.



Travel expenses:



CLIENT will reimburse all project related expenses where travel might be required.
