Job Duty:
Applicant will be responsible for installing the following:
-new hardware such as servers, switches, console servers, etc in a data center environment.
-Operating systems such as Windows 2003, Redhat/Fedora, CentOS, Debian and Free BSD
-Upgrading server hardware such as processors, memory, hard drives, etc.
-Wiring new servers, switches, etc in a professional and efficient manner.
-Being available for emergency situations.
Applicant will be responsible for using the following systems:
-Using PEXBoot/DHCP
-Doing Unattended Network Installs of Operating Systems
-Red Hat Kick Start Installs
-IP management software
-Asset Tracking software
-Helpdesk/Support Ticket System
-Basic Cisco Knowledge
Application should have knowledge in the following software:
-PHP
-SQL
-Apache
-DNS
-Bind
-MySQL
-Yum
-Exim
-Spam Prevention
-Perl and BASH a plus
Applicant will be responsible for maintaining the following:
-Software listed above
-VLANs, Subnets
-DNS
-IP Allocation
Salary is negotiable depending on applicants experience and knowledge.
We would prefer someone in the local Philadelphia / Tristate area. Basically someone who is capable of getting to our downtown Philadelphia data center at least a few times a week. We will consider non local applicants as well since we want to get the best possible person regardless of location.
