$8/Mbps Cogent Bandwidth

I can't see how this is a viable business model. Its already been pretty much accepted as fact that $8 is as low as Cogent would go, so why would you pass it through all you infrastructure and sell it for the same price???

Isn't anyone in this business ready to make some money and stop being a loss leader??

1) this is for direct ports, so no additional infrastructure costs attached.

2) This is only for large commits and contary to your wisdom, it is quite profitable.

3) Its Cogent! I will be the first to say they are not the best, but this is a good pickup for a multi-homed network.
