Intermediate Network & Systems Administrator. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent problem solving skills to add to our growing and dynamic IT team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the information technology infrastructure, internally and client facing.
Due to the broad technical nature of this position, candidates must demonstrate their ability to efficiently identify problems and solutions utilizing all available resources at hand. A strong technical understanding for computer networking and web hosting concepts will serve highly beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and build of the office networking components and systems, as well as the company’s client facing web hosting systems and services
- Independently investigate and resolve technical challenges, or in other cases to work closely with the IT and other internal teams to assist or lead in the resolve of challenges
- Effectively manage and prioritise multiple responsibilities in an independent and reliable manner
- The set-up and configuration of workstations and application/hosting serversPropose and/or implement new technologies to aid and improve internal operations and/or client service offerings
Education / Experience:
- University/college degree or equivalent
- 3-5 years hands-on experience in enterprise level networking and web hosting administration
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux hosting platforms (Apache, IIS, Red Hat, Windows Server, etc.)Experience with the set-up/install of PCs and/or servers
Required Competencies:
- Knowledge and understanding for TCP/IP networks
- At least one of Microsoft SQL or MySQL
- Active Directory
- Windows Server 2003 and Red Hat/CentOS/Fedora Linux
- Exchange Server 2003IIS and preferably also Apache
