To add another data recovery operation:
I have used
TLSI with good results. In three instances I found them to be very knowledgeable and professional. The main tech I worked with was Eddie, whom I believe is still there. Very on top of it guy and will be honest and upfront with you about the recovery process, what tools he will use, etc. - anything you want to know.
They can handle data recovery from failed drives, can recover data from failed RAID arrays, etc. in any file system. I used them for NTFS and OSX data recovery and was completely happy with their service.
The prices are reasonable - at the time I did business with them the cost of an evaluation was $200 (non-refundable) and the cost of recovery was about $1,000 to $3,000 (the eval applied toward this too.)
Response time was very good - once we got the drives to them, they were in the lab within 24 hours and were back to in in a total of about 72 hours.
I have also heard good feedback on another outfit
drivesavers, though I've not used them. I would use TLSI again if the need arises.
