Juan,
For one data point, we have a partial disaster recovery program and are currently working to make it more complete. My opinion is that it's very valuable (and expensive), but not very easy.
Every day I help design these solutions for customers. I think it is extremely important to have a tested and effective plan. Whether it is simply cloning your data and storing it offsite, to full replication of your environment.
i agree with you Blast, i think this is the easiest and simpler way. Of course, it is very important to make provisions for disaster recovery in advance.
The disaster recovery system for a server is as important as installing the servers, we never know when some mishappening can occur. So take precautions and be prepared for every possibility.
Fires, hurricanes and other catastrophic events can hit a data center at any time with little or no warning. Having a solid disaster recovery plan can be difference between having information to restore a business. Without a well plan business are almost gambling friends with their live hood.
I think D C disaster recovery is important. Well I come to know this from PTS solution that has the good plans like:
• Identification of the business units and operational objectives.
• Identify & inventory and rank assets based on criticality to the business objectives.
• Rank the threats that pose risks to the critical assets.
• Identify the severity of vulnerabilities in the critical assets.

If the data center will crash, then they can lose information of the company. Then data center disaster recovery become so important because it helps the company to find out their information and to continue implementing it, despite of the previous loss.
I will go with saying that, send the physical storage device to recovery center of the same brand company, you can loose enough data if you try researching it at first point.
