Default Peer 1 Network Makes Move to Europe

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA – Tuesday, November 16th, 2004 – Peer 1 Network Enterprises, Inc. (TSX-V:PIX), a leading provider of high-performance Internet bandwidth and server co-location facilities announced today that the company has opened its first European network Point of Presence (POP) in Telehouse’s Coriander data centre in London, England.

Peer 1’s network POP in London connects the Peer 1 network to the London Internet Exchange (LINX), Europe’s largest and most successful Internet exchange. LINX provides access to the majority of Europe’s Internet service providers, and this uniquely positions Peer 1 to be able to carry a large portion of the Internet traffic between Europe and Canada.

Peer 1 Network has planned a global expansion for many years. This move to London is the first step off of the North American map, and positions Peer 1 to make significant inroads into Europe. “Peer 1 Network’s goals include becoming one of the world’s premier IP networks,” states Geoff Hampson, Peer 1’s President and CEO. “While we are well on our way to achieving this goal, it is absolutely essential that we be able to offer the lowest latency and the most number of routes to our customers. Our engineers are constantly seeking greater route diversity, and our connection to LINX gives us an improved ability to deliver the outstanding network that our clients have come to expect.”

“Our London POP has been live since October,” said Mark Teolis, Peer 1 Network’s Chief Technology Officer. “In addition to the greater route diversity the London extension provides, Peer 1 customers who have implemented RED, our Rapid Edge Delivery content delivery product, are experiencing a dramatic increase in performance as measured by a drop in the time it takes for European customers to connect to their North American websites. Their ping times are a fraction of what they were prior to the implementation of the London POP.”

While Peer 1 Network’s reputation has been built on the foundation of its unfailing, world-class IP network, co-location continues to be a driving force behind the company’s ever-growing revenues. “Our first move in a new location is to establish a network presence,” says Mr. Hampson. “This is a precursor to the addition of a co-location space which allows Peer 1 to offer its unparalleled 100% uptime guarantee. Our Mergers and Acquisitions team has recently been touring Europe looking at co-location space that will allow us to facilitate the Peer 1 business model.”

Thanks
