Default BGP broadcasting and secure

When we have multiple connections with router, How often router broadcast their table or info?. Also is it secure to do broacasting routing table?. I am just wondering.

If you are running BGP, there will be keepalives sent every 60-180 seconds (depending on configuration), and updates sent every time a routing change happens, which can be from once a second, to once a year or more, depending on how dynamic your router's environment is. You can exchange BGP updates securely using password encryption in the neighbor session configuration. (Both sides must have the same keystring configured)
