Default Design of a Highly Reliable Backbone Network

Hi,

Here is some the info I have found about Highly Reliable Backbone Network.

A possible structure of a "highly reliable backbone network", which is the backbone network that can quickly heal itself when network failures occur, has been proposed. In the proposed scheme, all traffic are divided into three different traffic classes. Each traffic class will be provided with different cost & reliability levels. In addition, an efficient algorithm for designing the link capacity required for all traffic has been developed. The effectiveness of the proposed network-structure is evaluated by some numerical studies and computer simulation. Based on some evaluation results, the proposed network-structure could effectively provide traffic with different level of reliability & cost while still maintain fairly low network cost, compared to the conventional backbone network

it was weitten by Komwut Wipusitwarakun.

Thanks
Ananthan
