Default wireless routers for resident?

Did anyone try wireless routers for your home. Are you satisfied with data transfer. I am thinking to move to wireless router. If you have chosen good router please provide router name as well.

Depending on your budget and what you are using the network for,
an 802.11b based network will do fine. Have a look on Linksys WRT54G
or D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G DI624 .

A wireless network (based on the 802.11b standard) is not as secure
as a wired one because anyone can tap into your radio frequency,
and with the proper authorization, gain access into your network.
Am I right?
