You have two speeds to be concerned about: External network (the world) and internal (your network in the datacenter)

Externally speaking Korea have the fastest at 25.3Mbit (the world average is 3.9) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...nection_speeds

Goes to say something about governance doesnt it? hehe Over in the west speeds fall down dramatically. I saw your other post about USA traffic - USA's net speed is 11.5 MBit. So you won't be going over this unless they are upgrading the lines or a new tech became available to end users. Which is possible in the next 5 years or so.

Internal network speeds are capped by network card and cable. Currently it is 100GBit per second (100GbE) and 40GBit per second (40GbE) that is being manufactured as physical level copper or fibre optic cable high speed ethernet solution. Adoption rates have been reportedly slow for these speeds though.

For home users a LAN with a 10GbE is available, although requires new cable then standard Cat 5e to Cat 6.

Otherwise like TomTom posted I believe it is 100GbE currently...

4 x 100GbE is the maximum a switch can do I believe. If you can utilize all that bandwidth I take my hat off sir!
