Default Optimizing routing table

In order to forward the packet faster. Can we optimize the routing table?. If we can optimize, what are the things need to be done.

If you are a multi-homed network, yes, you can do a number of things to try to choose the best available egress path for your packets. If your questions are this basic, though, quite honestly you need to hire some additional in-house clue or get a consultant.

If you are not multi-homed, then you are stuck with whatever route your provider chooses for the traffic.

Hi Jeff,

I am just wondering, is there any memory leaks happen in routers?. How do they use the memory managment. Do they keep thr routing info eventhough packet transfered through hop.

Thanks
