Global IT market leader is seeking a Data Centre Technician, Data Centre Engineer to join the engineering team to build and validation of customer environments, build of Server infrastructure complying with design specifications and support of newly built customer Server environments. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server 2000, Microsoft Server 2003 including clustering and VMware, Unix, Redhat Linux, Debian Linux, Mandrake Linux, SUSE Linux, Solaris, Apache and Tomcat. Hardware including IBM, Dell and HP, Cabling CAT5, fibre optics and racking. Additionally knowledge of Microsoft IIS, SQL, Exchange and Citrix is desirable.

The Facilities Technician, Facilities Engineer is to provide 100% uptime, providing maintenance on data centre equipment, preventive maintenance on a wide variety of buildings and facilities equipment (HVAC compressed air, refrigeration plant and water systems, electrical installations systems which include high voltage, UPS systems and electrical systems in hazardous area environments. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Legislation is essential.
The role involves 24x7 cover and is paying up to £48k + Bonus + Bens.
