Reliability is another advantage that arises from clustering, because some clusters include management software that reallocates the workload of a server that fails. This can help to minimize downtime, which can be especially costly for companies who guarantee their customers system availability. Such is the case with Acxiom Corp., which helps companies analyze their customer data.

Clustering is not a load balancer in SQL Server. Clustering can give us some version of load balancing if you splice up your data, but you’ll have to be careful with available resources to take over from any instance that fails so that you don't have only part of your spliced data available to your customers!Clustering is also not some performance-enhancing drug for the athlete that is SQL Server. It’s simple task is to provide a safeguard for failure – a plan B if plan A fails.
I suppose, Clustering can give you some form of load balancing if you license all of the nodes and split up the instances amongst the nodes. It isn't true load balancing though and it’s expensive doing it this way!!Clustering is for failures on a server and to have smaller downtime windows.

With web server clustering, your hosting solution is easily expandable as your company grows. As your traffic increases our clustered services team simply add more servers into your high availablility clustered environment.

Greater flexibility in configuring the system, is one of the major advantage here. Makes one in more control over their server.

Default cluster computing

server clustering is especially designed for excessive availability answer. in case, if a server is having a problem every other server from the cluster takes over the server having difficulty. this ensures the excessive availability of the web programs.

server clustering is absolutely a scalable answer. resources can be introduced to the cluster as a result.

if a devoted server from the cluster calls for renovation, it may be stopped at the same time as different servers handles its load. accordingly, makes the renovation greater easier. the clustered servers may be configured and controlled without problems without any hassle.
