Hi, anyone can guide me for recovering data from external NTFS volume? I am using Linux. One of the weird part, the drive can be mount, report shows its full but showing empty in file manager.
For Linux, you have to do some specific tasks to solve this problem.
In the disk, you have to create an image file; use ddrescue.
Now, run the Mini XP of Hirens Rescue CD.
Create an image file by using ImgMount.
You can recover the files of the drive now by running chkdsk. Make sure you run it on the mounted drive.
You can copy the files to your desired place. Check all the folders in the mounted drive.
