Job Title: Infrastructure QA Analyst
Job Duties:
Requirements:
· Must have experience with the software Rational Functional Tester.
· Must have previous QA and Performance testing experience
· Must have some .NET programmer experience.
Deliverables:
· Provide expertise in the testing of:
- HR and Financial Management and Reporting applications, components, interfaces and infrastructure
- Performance of multiple database instances
- Business applications supported in production by MIS group
· Develop / update and execute test cases for the new and existing projects and report on all type of testing including technical and business functional validation and application regression testing
· Evaluate and report on the quality of test cases & software products and make recommendations for deployment
· Review requirements, release notes and designs and develop and document comprehensive test plans
· Prepare and execute test plans, run test cases, create detailed bug reports etc.
· Support other analysts by reviewing work and providing feedback
· Transfer application knowledge to other team members
· Report on progress, alerting development or technology team to emerging issues and concerns
· Assist development or technology team with reproducing defects under investigations
· Assist in other aspects of the project including:
- Cntribution, collection and organization of knowledge capital
- Building of knowledge bases and collaboration tools
- Project process automation and operational automation
- Work collaboratively within the team to develop and improve QA processes
Qualifications:
· Work experience should include 3-5 years combined working in an application development and system integration environment within a deadline-driven atmosphere
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
· Possess comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of Quality Assurance sufficient to be recognized as a subject matter expert.
· Advanced level knowledge of the software development life cycle, testing strategies, tools and QA methodologies gained through a minimum of 3 years experience in a testing environment
· Must have experience developing and executing detailed test cases and test plans
· Familiarity with Microsoft Security patching
· Experience with web service-based, terminal services testing procedures and techniques including performance testing (volume and stress testing) and application regression testing
· Demonstrate a clear understanding of software development and QA methodologies and help the QA team to enhance QA processes
· Knowledge or experience with:
.NET and web development methodologies and best practices
Microsoft Windows OS platforms
XML, XSLT, messaging, EDI and interface development
MS SQL Server 2000/2005
EAI principles and technologies and data transformation techniques
· Must be self-motivated and flexible and be able to work with minimal guidance
· A collaborative team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
· Strong documentation skills and superb organizational and logic skills are a must
· Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented; interpersonal and negotiation skills
· Understanding of Ontario Health care is a definite asset
