Security on cisco switches
How does cisco routers prevent from Dos attack?, Do they have inetral firewall?.

You can block ip address/ranges and ports using access lists on a router.
Cisco have there own firewall called PIX that runs on dedicated hardware.

I have a similar question, can it autamatically detect if there is a Dos Attack or we have to find the IP and block manually.

I think that would be down to your network monitoring tools to highlight those issues for normal routers.

Cisco PIX firewalls can automatically detect DOS attacks and deny them. But in the case of a router you need to have the ACLs in place to be safe
