I am just wondering that what are the main problem you guys receive everyday in datacetners and how do you resolve them?. Please share your experience.
Thanks

Some of the main problems are fixing connectivity issues if there is a loss on your network, dealing with DOS attacks, also an issue is keeping the network secure and making sure everything is up and running.

The key is having redundancy and using multiple providers.

When you say redundancy, is it network redundancy or server redundancy?. Please let me know.

Don't you guys see any packet loos or routing issues such as OSPF converence problems?. Please let me know if you know about this.

If you offer IRC services you can include DoS attacks as a part of every day in datacenter's life.

Hi Kingadmin,
Is any special reason to expect Dos attack if we provide IRC server?. Can you please provide more explanation. I am just curious to know about it.
Thanks

Never have any network problems really... Only problems we seem to have is helping clients with things when they don;t really know what they're talking about/doing :-)

Hi KarlZimmer,
Thats nice you don't have any problem on network. Normally there are lots issues specially burstnet always have problem with their network.
Can you please tell me who did your corenetwork design?. What are the routers , and swithces serises you use?.
Do you have redundant network?
Thank You

Our network design was done by our own network engineer. It is fully redundant.
Juniper M20 routers, Foundry FI4000 core switches (they just do L2), and Cisco 3550-EMI aggregation switches.
We've had 1.6gbit/sec DDoS's and the only person who noticed it was the client being attacked.
