eXtensible Open Router Platform
Anyone with experience with eXtensible Open Router Platform:
http://www.xorp.org
It's the first time for me that I see this website and have no experience with it.
Is there anyone who can tell me if it's worth the try or is there anyone who has experience with this?
Looking forward to your reactions.

I've never used it but after speaking to our linux bod it looks like a worthwile project, even if it's just used as a network emulator.
I'm dragging out an old pc and some spare nics to have a play.
I'll let you know how i get on
Cheers
George

George, I'm very interested in your results!
I've tried it on a machine over here, but it looks like the program is too simple yet to really use.
Let me know what you think about it!

I would reccomend giving it a try. There is not to much to say about it. It is good but has all the problems of an opensource project

Do you have any experience using it in a real situation? If yes, please tell us something about it.

I took a look at the user manual and found nothing on OSPF... plenty on RIP and BGP, but no OSPF... how can that be? Surely they know and appreciate OSPF's usage in our market, right?
