Default Blanking Panels required in hot row/cold row setup?

Hi,

I just want to build a thread with some information so I can prove a point some where.

Are rack blanking panels required in cabinets setup in a hot row/cold row fashion and the cabinets have about 20-25 machines in them?

TIA.

Yes, the purpose of hot/cold aisles is to segregate the supply and return air streams. The use of blanking panels prevents short-circuiting of hot air through the racks themselves. See this APC whitepaper for more information: http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/S...PLKQ_R2_EN.pdf
