I am a current IBM customer at San Jose Equinix facility. I currently have two 100mbit feeds supplied by IBM mainly through UUNet and Quest. I am looking for an ISP to bring in a 100mbit copper xConnect in to my cage/rack which is on a different backbone then UUnet or Quest. This link will be used for out of band management so 1meg commitment is all we need. Please advice some good ISPs with a descent price. Also what is an average going price per megabit at that facility right now.
If all you want is out of band management, why not get a DSL connection with a static IP? Cross-connect cost is a lot lower for a POTS line then Cat5 at Equinix, and the DSL line is a lot cheaper then a 1 mbps connection.
We could help you out, but our upstreams require us to have a minimum 10mbps commit. We could do 10Mbps of Savvis out of that location for $400/month. Feel free to contact me if your interested.
