Candidates should have senior Citrix and Active Directory skills, senior Win2003 and scripting abilities (VBScript, Perl, Active-X, .NET)



As part of the Intel Infrastructure team, responsibilities would also include the installation, generation, testing, and ongoing availability of the Intel based Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 operating systems software, sub-systems and related software for 15,000 Intel Servers. The incumbent will ensure that the operating systems maintain a high level of performance, functionality and availability.



Responsibilities include



· Installation, implementation and maintenance of all supported midrange Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 operating systems software components. Customization of these components to meet Data Centre/End User requirements.

· Installation, administration and support of VMware software including VMotion and Virtual Center

· Determination of software component failure in order to provide timely resolution / bypass of failing component(s) and assist in hardware resolution.

· On-call support for midrange software and hardware problems. Create, maintain, execute and automate “Disaster Recovery Procedures”.

· Monitor progress of ongoing departmental projects and tasks. Provide planning for departmental projects as dictated by requirements from within Systems Support, the end-user, or other departments following Rogers Project Management Methodology.

· Responsible for the development and implementation of strategy and tools for ongoing auditing of Windows servers including Active Directory and will investigate and communicate unresolved security exposures, misuse or non-compliance to management.

· Develop maintain and update appropriate information security procedures, checklists and guidelines, standards and auditing tools for existing and emerging Microsoft technologies including IIS, Clustering, Windows 2003, AD, etc., and outline and perform security audits of systems, procedures, processes and configuration using standard techniques.

· Analyze and implement new software applications or tool implementations for implications to existing software and devices, analyze application security needs based on the sensitivity and proprietary nature of the data, ensuring that systems are being used for their approved purpose, and proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability of company information. Implement and enforce RGC security policies, develop methods for raising user awareness of security issues, and document all security procedures.

· Applicant must have experience with methods for ethical security hacking/penetration testing, familiarity with the tools and techniques used by ethical hackers including vulnerability scanners, network mapping tools, exploits and other tools

· Applicant must have the ability to identify and classify information according to its sensitivity and confidentiality requirements, must have the ability to articulate application security policies, procedures, guidelines to all levels of management and staff, must possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills and be able to effectively work with all levels of management, and must have the ability to assist in the gathering of evidences and help develop effective and accurate reports of security violations for management.

· Evaluation of available software products to meet corporate business requirements which would include the creation of business cases to aid in the selection and purchase of product.

· Provide support for application developers in our customer environments.

Qualifications



· University Degree or substantial directly related work experience

· 10 +years Microsoft Windows Systems Programming/Administration experience in building maintaining and supporting this platform

· Excellent knowledge of Windows 2000, 2003 and Active Directory environment.

· Experience with methods for ethical security hacking/penetration testing, familiarity with the tools and techniques used by ethical hackers including vulnerability scanners, network mapping tools, exploits and other tools

· Excellent knowledge of several Microsoft development languages and technologies: VB, Vbscript, Perl, ASP, .NET, Active-X.

· Excellent knowledge of Ethical security hacking, Penetration testing

· Excellent knowledge of application security policies, procedures, guidelines

· Excellent knowledge of VMware ESX virtual software including VMotion and Virtual Center

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Operation Manager, Shavlik Patch Management and Altiris Rapid Deployment tools

· Excellent knowledge of networking architectures and protocols, including TCP/IP and Microsoft Implementation of TCP/IP.

· Excellent problem determination and resolution skills.

· Excellent knowledge of MS Proxy Server and IIS.

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, motivational & Analytical skills

· Effective written & verbal Communication skills

· Availability for on-call support of operating system software activities

· Ability to work effectively on multiple simultaneous tasks within fast paced, “high tech” customer service oriented environments

· Ability to complete project tasks in a timely manner

· Outstanding customer service skills

· Applicants must hold a MSCE 2003 or MCSE Security to be considered for this role (Designing Security for a Windows 2003 Network, Implementing and Administering Security in a Windows 2003 Network and CompTIA Security+)
