Free the memory Usage on server
To free the memory usage on the server, when we find the RAM all used up , we can use this command. The command will cause the kernel to drop clean caches, dentries and inodes from memory, causing that memory to become free:
echo 3 > /proc/sys/vm/drop_caches
With this command you are not disabling cache, you are just clearing the same.
