Default How would you choose hardware for your server?

If you rreally want to build your own server. What are the brand name hardware you would goo for.

For example, CPU, HardDrive, Mother Board, etc......

I would have a intel CPU, apart from that I would choose the cheapest reliable equipment avail at the time.

A lot of servers are actually really old computers as most people dont want to use new ones for servers.

I would be enlined to use old computer just for hosting, however for some tasks I would buy the latest Xeon server.
