Default recovery in hosted data center

why is disaster recovery options more advanced in hosted data centers? what technique is adopted in the hosted data center that cannot be implemented in an exclusive data center?

hosted data centers are better equipped to handle disasters. they have more backup equipments at their disposal.

Hosted Datacenters will have things that you cannot typically afford in a private datacenter like generator, multiple carriers for redundancy and highly redundant network equipment.

Of course the availability of larger bandwith helps
