Default Data Center Metric

We are going to make a data center in near future and we are planning to follow the WUE metric. Anyone know some of the major advantages or information about it? Or we just go for the traditional PUE?

Any of the power saving metrics are good. But if you want to use the most simplest metrics then WUE is for you. It is a very simple metric which gives you the result of the ration of yearly water usage is being used for IT equipments. The CUE calculates from the carbon and the WUE calculates the ratio from water usage. It is basically the same metric but using different element to calculate the power ratio. Zero is counted as the ideal value for WUE.

Because the data center is the hub for the entire business, making sure to clearly define data center metrics must be a priority for every manager. Whether the goal is to make your data center green, more resilient or higher density, metrics and standards shape the action plan and provide insights into improvements. This guide will set you on the right path.
