Qwest, Level 3, and Switch and Data all have centers in NoVa, as well. You have many options in NoVa, list gets a little smaller in the beltway. There are a handful in Balto.

You can try equnix. It is very easy to tour data centers and you just have to give an impression of being an interested customer. Further most of the data centers would welcome potential clients to visit their centers.
maybe the use of electronic storage devices within the DC are not allowed, mobile phones, iPods, etc. your identity will be verified and maybe a slight frisk
do data centers allow a tour if the tour is purely for reporting intent? will I need documentation of any sort before being allowed into the data center? who should i contact in a data center for a tour?
