Default Satelites on datacetner

I was thinking about this quesion. Most of the datacenters have physical connection to datacenter or they have satelite to connect with provider.

If anyone know, just share with me.

Satellite communications is pretty slow. Most facilities have land-line optical connections.

yes, thats true.
Satellite communications are slow.... ping times are + / - 400 MS

Yes, I beleive this is good for only communication purpose for smal data transfer. I am pretty sure satalite would take over some of the phsysical connection.
