We have couple of SUN servers in our database and we would like to connect them. The servers are: Sun-fire v240 and SPARC T5220. We need them to be connected so that the access of ILOM features become available.
For T5220 server, you need the SER MGT ports which can be attached to v240 mgt port. It is possible that you can connect it with the same port. You need to know your firmware level because it depends on ILOM documentation.
You need the documentation and determine the firmware level of your servers. Remember that ILOM is not so friendly compared to ALOM. Also, one thing you should have with you all the time is a bluc cisco cable. It can be utilized in any laptop jack and can connect it with any Sun servers.
