Default HBA card recemmendation

Hello Guys,

I was planning to buy Emulex or Qlogic HBA card. Do you guys have any experience, would it work with most of the SAN storage? Please let me know.

Also, can I buy any kind of SAN switch?

Thanks in advance.

If your SAN is EMC, use the EMC certified cards. We use the PCI-E EMUlex Cards

Thanks a lot. The card is 64 bit, would it work with 32 bit slot? I have put it in and looks like detected it.

Yes, it might work, but some of the functionalities won't work properly.
