How do we compare different wireless routers?

I have a broadband connection and a Dell WiFi laptop. I wish to buy a wireless router.

Appreciate if someone can share the parameters which maybe used for decision making. Also what can be the prices of suugested routers.

market. Know of at least 8 users having good success with them. They are the same price as any other and have much better support than any other at no cost to users.

Buying a wireless router has always been my desire but it's only my income which does matter alot.
