I was recording a video with my camera and it shut down in the middle of the process. It is showing that 20 min was recorded but the file size is 0 byte; I cant view it or open it. I tired some data recovery software but still no good. Any suggestion?

If you are using a mini dvd then the file should have been created. I am agree with you that the file is there somewhere and maybe it is in a raw format. Because it wasnt shut down properly, the data is like scattered. I dont know what camera you are using. Each brand has it's unique way to process internal buffer. It will be really difficult to find the suitable recovery software for your camera's data. You can talk to the camera company, they might give you some advice about recovery.

Default Video file is corrupted or not in Video Format

Since your process was disturbed in between, it did not complete-obviously.

I would like to take a guess that you are using a high-end camera and you are a techno-savvy person.

The Camera system couldn't recognize the format it usually saves the recorded file.

It ate up the disc space and showing 'recording time', but it may have erased the entire file. Like a 'cache' like thing-where impression is stored and fetched again and again.

Still the file size cannot be 0 byte.

Do check your end again and clarify!
