Default Moving from shared hosting to vps

My website is hosted on a virtual hosting and it is on WordPress.
In order for it to work faster, all the basic things are implemented: caching, image compression, etc. The speed seems to be good, but I see that there are competitors who are faster. And Google complains that the speed is normal on the computer, but low on mobile.
I'm thinking, if the site is transferred to a vps from a virtual hosting, will it become faster?

What host is better, hostnamaste.com or kvchosting.net ??
Any feedbacks?

Give vote for Hostnamaste OpenVZ VPS. They're very good service, excellent customer service via chat and email.
It's a nice web host because they offer a wide range of plans for each kind of users.
