Default IP forwarding/redirecting

Hi,

I currently have two servers in datacentre A and want to move them over to datacentre B with very little downtime.

Is it possible to forward my new IP addresses from d.c. B to d.c. A?

Can I do this with the switch (Procurve 2626), or do I get the transit provider to do this at the Router?

One thing you can do is reserve proxy, besides that you may be best to wait for a reply from someone else.

I don't know if the HP switch supports any NAT / tunneling features, but I wouldn't rely on that as a good means to move your servers in a hitless manner. It's fine technology, but the HP switches aren't so great.

Your transit providers are unlikely to help you move just a few IPs, especially if you aren't actually their direct customer, but are buying bandwidth from your datacenters, who then buy from transit networks.

I buy the transit directly.

I was hopping I for a command I could use on the switch something like:

IPFOWARD [SOURCE_IP] [SOURCE_SUBNET] [DEST_IP] [DEST_SUBNET]

Ok, What I meant was, if you have same datas you can basically keep one server on datacenter A and move other server to DataCenter B then you can do IP forwarding.

I was hoping I could do IP forwarding on the switch, otherwise I'll just have to put another box in DataCenter B to do IP forwarding.
