Default Advantages on having colo?

When I compare to dedicated server plan, colocation offer is very expensive. Why should we go to for colocation, is there any advantages?.

It depends on what your looking for from a colocation, there are some that are less expensive then dedicated servers.

www.1uhosting.co.uk - they garantee 95% uptime, for the price of a lot of residential broadband services in the country, £29.99/mo.The cheapest I have seen dedi's is $65/mo(www.sagonet.com). In short colo has different advantages depending on where you go.

Note: 1 dollar will get about £0.55, so $65 dollars is about £35.75, depending on which currency you use and what the bank charges on card transactions/direct debits etc.

There are many advantages to co-location, You manage your own system for 1.. Hardware is your own, So you know its going to be proper high quality equipment.

Repairs can take longer or shorter compared to dedicated hosts, dependant on where your located.

Finally, Monthly fee's. Reducing the price of a dual xeon from say $200 per month to only $50 for co-location.

"Repairs can take longer or shorter compared to dedicated hosts, dependant on where your located." - The need to repair it youself can be a mixed blessing - if you server is in a relatively local d/c then you can repair it quite quickly, but if its not you could have some substantial downtime.
